A Simple, Minimal & Scandinavian-Inspired Christmas

It’s our first Christmas in the house which we bought and moved into this year and you can just say we are beyond excited! Having a place to call our own was only a dream a year ago and it’s still surreal sometimes that we are here now, slowly filling in and decorating our home.

I have fallen utterly in love with the simple and clean look of  Scandinavian homes this year.  This style just resonated well with my desire to keep things simple and minimal so for this Christmas, I’ve decorated our living room, dining, study and hallway as Scandinavian and as simple as possible. I have shared my DIY natural Christmas decors in this post.

Let me share with you a few glimpses of our home this Christmas season.

The Wreath by the Door

The Tree | Here’s our forest-chopped Christmas tree in all its glory. We bought this beauty a little early so it’s now drying up. But still, nothing compares to that lovely smell in the air from a real pine tree. I’m grateful I live on this side of the world where there are pine trees.

The Hallway | Decorations were from our travel to Vienna three Christmases ago and from Sostrene Grene.

The Dining Room | Decorated with just the hanging branch and a pot of poinsettia by the door.
The Study Room | This is where I work from home and blog when motherhood allows me to.
The Living Room | My favorite nook in the house which is also my toddler’s playroom.
A blessed and blissful Christmas to you soon.
